As a performer, Sofía Forero embodies a technical "mosaic" that bridges the precision of classical foundations with the soul of heritage-based movement. A graduate with honors from The Ailey School, she possesses a rigorous mastery of Horton, Graham, and Taylor techniques, embodying the foundational lineages of Alvin Ailey, Martha Graham, Paul Taylor, and Merce Cunningham. This modern foundation is further enriched by her lifelong connection to Colombian Folklore, Salsa Caleña, and a wide vocabulary of Latin rhythms; a versatility that has led her to the world-renowned stages of Delirio and Mulato Cabaret in Cali.

This stylistic fluidity allows Sofía to serve as a powerful vehicle for influential contemporary voices, having performed works by visionaries such as Rena Butler, Darrel Moultrie, Earl Mosley, Vernard Gilmore, and Daniel Fetecua Soto, including a featured role in the iconic Table of Silence Project 9/11 at Lincoln Center. Currently, she maintains a vibrant performance presence in New York as a Senior Dance Artist with Pajarillo Pinta’o, Tumbaga Dance Company, Ajkun Ballet Theatre, and Accent Dance NYC, consistently exploring the boundary between athletic virtuosity and cultural storytelling.
